Care Without Conditions

No one should be denied medical care because of money

Illness does not wait for a family to become financially stable. When a diagnosis arrives, it brings with it not just physical suffering but a cascade of impossible decisions — which treatment to delay, which bill to skip, which meal to forgo. At Arunoday Foundation, our Healthcare Assistance program exists to remove that impossible calculation. We step in with medical funding, hospital coordination, wellness support, and advocacy — ensuring that every individual, regardless of their income, receives the care they deserve with dignity intact.

The Reality

Why so many go without treatment

India's public healthcare system is overstretched, and private treatment remains out of reach for millions. Families facing serious illness — cancer, thalassemia, congenital heart conditions, kidney failure — are often forced to choose between selling their homes or watching their loved ones deteriorate. The gap between what is medically possible and what families can actually afford is where Arunoday steps in.

"The hospital told us exactly what needed to be done. We just couldn't pay for it. Arunoday made sure that stopped being the reason our daughter didn't get treated."
— Father of a leukaemia patient, Pune
1
Catastrophic Out-of-Pocket Costs

A single chemotherapy cycle, surgery, or long-term medication regimen can cost more than a family earns in a year. Without support, treatment is simply abandoned — with fatal consequences.

2
Navigating a Complex System Alone

Government health schemes, hospital social welfare funds, and NGO support all exist — but most families don't know they qualify or how to access them. Paperwork, language barriers, and bureaucracy keep people from the help they are entitled to.

3
Delays That Cost Lives

In oncology and cardiac care, delays of even a few weeks can dramatically reduce survival chances. Families spend critical time arranging funds rather than starting treatment — a delay that is entirely preventable with timely support.

4
The Hidden Costs Beyond Treatment

Even when core treatment is funded, families struggle with travel costs, accommodation near hospitals, supplementary medicines, nutritional supplements, and lost income — all of which silently undermine recovery.

What We Do

Our approach to healthcare support

Case Assessment & Support Planning

When a family reaches out, we assess the medical situation, financial need, and existing entitlements within 48 hours — and build a personalised support plan that covers the full treatment journey, not just a single payment.

Hospital Coordination & Navigation

We liaise directly with hospitals — handling paperwork, identifying government scheme eligibility, arranging specialist referrals, and ensuring families are never lost in the system at their most vulnerable moment.

Direct Financial Aid Disbursement

Funds are released directly to hospitals and treatment providers — transparently and without delays — covering chemotherapy, surgeries, blood transfusions, medicines, and ancillary costs like travel and nutrition.

Wellness & Follow-Up Support

Treatment does not end at discharge. We stay connected through recovery — coordinating follow-up care, counselling, wellness check-ins, and community health camps that keep families informed and supported long after the acute phase.

Screening Camps Early Detection
Hospital Liaison & Scheme Navigation

Our team helps families access Ayushman Bharat, Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jan Arogya Yojana, hospital social welfare funds, and other entitlements — bridging the gap between what exists on paper and what families actually receive.

How you can make a difference

Donate

₹500 funds a blood transfusion. ₹10,000 funds one chemotherapy cycle. ₹50,000 can fund a life-saving surgery. Every rupee goes directly to a patient.

Volunteer

Doctors, nurses, counsellors, social workers, and patient navigators can volunteer with us to directly support patients and families through the treatment process.

Hospital Partnership

Hospitals and clinics can partner with us to identify patients in financial distress and refer them to our support program — ensuring no patient is discharged or denied care due to unpaid bills.

Corporate CSR

Companies can direct CSR funds toward our healthcare program — a fully audited, 80G-certified initiative with direct, measurable impact on patients' lives across Maharashtra.

Your support can keep someone in treatment today

Behind every patient we support is a family that refused to give up — and a donor who made sure they didn't have to. Be that person for the next family waiting.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is eligible for Arunoday's healthcare assistance?
We support individuals and families who are facing serious illness and are unable to afford the cost of treatment. There is no caste, religion, or geographic restriction. Priority is given to children, single-parent households, daily wage families, and patients with no access to government scheme coverage. Each case is individually assessed by our team.
How do I apply for medical aid?
You can reach us through our contact page, helpline, or by visiting our office. Our team will ask for basic medical documentation (diagnosis reports, treatment plan, hospital estimates) and proof of financial need. We aim to complete the assessment and begin the support process within 48–72 hours of receiving a complete application.
How is the money disbursed — does it come to us directly?
To ensure funds are used specifically for treatment, we release payments directly to hospitals, diagnostic centres, and treatment providers — not to individuals or families. This protects both the patient and the donor, and ensures complete financial transparency across every case we support.
Does Arunoday only support children, or adults too?
While children are a significant focus of our healthcare work, we support patients of all ages. Adults facing cancer, kidney disease, cardiac conditions, and other serious illnesses are equally eligible for assessment and support under our Healthcare Assistance program.
Are donations to this program tax-deductible?
Yes. Arunoday Foundation Trust is registered under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act. All donations are eligible for tax deduction, and you will receive a receipt and 80G certificate upon donation. We are fully audited annually and committed to complete financial transparency.
